Fox Talent Solutions is working with an amazing client to find a Director of Student Data Services to join their team. This empowers charter school and non-profits with financial management and operational support.
About the Role
This role is an excellent opportunity to become a part of a growing team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about evaluating charter schools, using data analytics, to support them in having the right people and processes in place to do their best work.
This role will report to the CTO of the company, have 3 direct reports, and has the opportunity to work remotely.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that all data hours are submitted for AR purposes.
- Model and facilitate best-in-class team culture practices, such as valuing diverse perspectives, and working across lines of differences
- Manage the professional growth of direct reports to build a strong leadership pipeline
- Create short- and long-term departmental vision; utilize and model project management, customer service and change management skills to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Identify, create, implement, and support improvement initiatives and solutions, working with internal and external stakeholders to remedy gaps.
- Develop Charter Impact’s repository for weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting of key organizational drivers.
- Maintain a competitive edge by remaining current on trends and best practices for data and technology.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Education, Data Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience being responsible for CALPADS data collection, error correction, SIS-to-CALPADS data and certification.
- Special Education Data Clerk experience.
- Experience overseeing attendance collection, reporting and auditing tasks.
- System Administrator experience with one or more Student Information Systems (PowerSchool, Aeries, and / or Infinite Campus).
- Experience managing a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Education, Data Science, or related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM, ITIL, etc.).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
