Director, Sales Strategy - Bakery
General Summary : *
Critical leadership and liaison role between Campbell Snacks Sales and the Bakery Business Unit managing the Fresh & Frozen Bakery business strategies ($0.
9B in annual dollar sales). Work collaboratively with the division brand teams as well as with Campbell Snacks Sales to ensure said strategies deliver AOP goals and JBP commitments with our Customers.
Partner with division brand deliver Big Bet and limited time offer commercialization and strategy. Create Fresh & Frozen Bakery selling materials for offensive opportunities, defense needs, and for critical mega event windows.
- Primary Responsibilities : *
- Own and lead the Annual Planning Process Ensure we are incorporating the Customer voice and delivering on Customer requirements, elevate and work initiatives as required to address / contingency plan against gaps to plan
- Co-create annual Brand strategies for all PF & Farmhouse fresh & frozen bakery / dessert offerings alongside Marketing partners
- Build the strategy and execute Limited Time Offer propositions Collect Customer forecasts and work with Retail Planning to translate into Field Operations action plan
- Lead Sales voice with Category Marketing Directors to ensure Big Bet Innovation strategies are developed with the voice of the Customer and are executed seamlessly - including setting reasonable targets across key KPIs, ensure the vitality & attractiveness of the proposition, meets big bet criteria, and drives category growth
- Be the sales voice in Portfolio Management Review (PMR) and Commercialization (Gating) across all Innovation projects for fresh & frozen bakery categories
- Represent the Customer voice in the Bakery Business Unit Internal Reconciliation Review (BU IRR)
- Lead compelling Brand offense and defense selling materials for Customer Sales and Field Operations
- Lead compelling selling stories across key mega event windows of time including Holiday, Fall Football and Big Game
- Manage and solution supply chain shortage and logistics headwinds
- Prioritize available product across Customers and build / execute Customer allocations where needed
- Consumption subject matter expert across fresh & frozen bakery categories & brands
- Manage channel strategies Develop channel roles for fulfilling brand growth objectives
- Own sales communication of supply headwinds, discontinued items, and weather related impact
- Minimum Requirements : *
- Minimum Education Required : BS / BA or equivalent combination of education & experience required; MBA preferred
- Years of relevant experience : 10-15 years consumer packaged goods experience; direct selling experience required.
