Job Description :
- Perform analysis and tests of raw materials inprocess materials and finished products samples of manufactured / intermediate products to verify conformity to specifications.
- Conducts incoming raw materials testing ensuring conformance to required specifications.
- Records test results on batch tickets and in companys computer operating system.
- Organizes and maintains quality records and retains of production / intermediate batches and raw material champions
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests
- Sets up adjusts verifies and operates laboratory equipment and instruments
- Maintain housekeeping of the working place
- Respect the Safety Health Environment and Quality Policy
- Evaluates retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
- Performs 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.
- Support all Quality Control related One PPG initiatives
Required Competencies :
- Minimum of twoyear technical degree preferred (Quality Engineering or other sciences) or three or more years of related experience and / or training
- Two (2) years analytical laboratory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
NOTE FROM HIRING MANAGER :
The position is 4 10hr shifts per week late shift 5 : 00pm3 : 00am. Ideal candidate is someone who recently graduated with a science degree or has some previous experience in a similar role.
