Job Summary :
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing routine daily nursing care to assigned residents in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as the facility’s established nursing care policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications :
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent; or Certified Nursing Assistant certification may be accepted in lieu of High School diploma.
Licensure : Valid Mississippi Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
Experience : None.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact or educate residents.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, clinical staff and providers.
Knowledge of procedures and techniques in administering and providing basic resident care services. Knowledge of uses and operations of equipment and instruments used in patient care.
Ability to interpret Provider or healthcare team’s orders and carry them out as requested. Must be resident / customer service oriented, projecting professionalism and socio-economic and cultural sensitivity.
Preferred Qualifications :
Education : None.
Licensure : None.
Experience : One (1) year as a nursing assistant or similar role.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities : Basic knowledge of electronic medical records. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
