Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented IT Systems Analyst I to join our team in Norfolk, VA .

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures .

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals .

May lead and direct the work of others .

Analyzes and develops computer software possessing a wide range of capabilities, including numerous engineering, business, and records management functions .

Develops plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion .

Analyzes user interfaces, maintain hardware and software performance tuning, analyze workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, analyze downtimes, analyze proposed system modifications, upgrades and new COTS .

Analyzes the problem and the information to be processed .

Defines the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests .

Coordinates closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications .

Develops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions .

Conducts sites surveys; assesses and documents current site network configuration and user requirements .

Designs and optimizes network topologies .

Analyzes existing requirements and prepares specifications for hardware / software acquisitions .

Prepares engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages .

Develops hardware / software installation schedules .

Prepares drawings documenting configuration changes at each site .

Prepares site installation and test reports .

Configures computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment .

Installs network hardware / software .

Trains site personnel in proper use of hardware / software .

Builds specialized interconnecting cables .

Performs first line support for service interruptions such as printer routings, power outages, wiring problems, and malfunctioning servers.

Escalates unresolved problems to expedite resolution .

Develops, analyses, evaluates, advises on, and / or improves the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization , distribution of work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar functions of management .

Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates .

Shall be responsible for the overall contract performance and shall not serve in any other capacity under this contract .

Formulates / defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects .

Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results .

Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation .

Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming .

Has good understanding of the business or function for which applications is designed .

Minimum Qualifications :

0-2 years of position-specific relevant experience

High School Diploma

Clearance Requirements :

Current Secret clearance

Physical Requirements :

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

For all positions requiring access to technology / software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.
