American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Level I trauma center requiring IL RN license and multiple advanced certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a 56-bed Emergency Department within an acute care hospitalCombined adult and pediatric patient populationLevel I trauma center and Magnet facility environmentNight shifts available as either 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules (19 : 00-7 : 30)Average daily census is 175 patientsNo on-call responsibilitiesNo floating required outside of scope of assignmentCerner EMR experience requiredResponsible for triage, stabilization, and emergency interventions for diverse patient presentationsMust work every other weekend as part of shift requirementsExpectation to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignmentScrub attire should be any solid colorFree parking permit provided; paperwork completed during orientationOrientation includes virtual and on-site modules\n \n Requirements\n
Active IL RN license required or proof of application in processMinimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience requiredCertifications required : ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA or Red Cross only, RQI cards not accepted)Experience with adult and pediatric emergency care including cardiac, trauma, neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, respiratory, and pediatric emergenciesStrong skills in cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and obtaining 12-lead EKGsProficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, medication administration including IV sedation, vasopressors, and procedural sedationExperience handling neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, and respiratory emergency casesCerner EMR experience requiredSSN and DOB required for job considerationMust not have been a permanent or PRN employee of Memorial for the past 12 months\n Benefits\n
