Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Resource Teacher to join our team. As a Resource Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and ensuring their educational success.

You will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

In this role, you will provide instructional support, adapt curriculum materials, and deliver specialized instruction to students with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other learning difficulties.

You will collaborate with general education teachers to create inclusive classrooms and promote an environment of academic excellence and equity.

Additionally, you will serve as a resource for teachers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities to enhance their ability to support students with diverse learning needs.

As a Resource Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of students and help them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to create inclusive classrooms.
  • Provide instructional support and deliver specialized instruction to students with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other learning difficulties.
  • Adapt curriculum materials and develop modified teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Assess student progress and make appropriate adjustments to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with parents and other professionals to develop and implement interventions and support strategies.
  • Serve as a resource for teachers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities to enhance their ability to support students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with a variety of specialized instruction strategies and resources.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing student needs and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
