What You'll Do
The Networking Sales Account Executive role is responsible for driving sales in the space for Cisco's Enterprise Networking software-defined offers.
The primary focus will be on hardware and software offers for SD-WAN, Next Generation Switching, Next Generation Wireless, and Cloud Managed Networking.
There is a significant amount of business case and proposal creation. This strategic senior sales role will have responsibility for a large part of the Americas Enterprise Networking business and is a key advisor to the sales leadership team.
It will require a balance between engagement in large sales opportunities and managing programs that drive business at scale.
In this position, you will be facilitating the success of Cisco sales teams in selling Enterprise Networking products and technologies (SDWAN, SD Access, Routing, Switching, WLAN, Meraki) with measurable sales objectives for the regions you support.
- You will be quick to find opportunities, able to handle people and prioritize opportunities, highly capable as a trusted consultant and mentor to salespeople and committed to improving the competency of the team.
- You will be responsible for developing a business plan to meet and exceed assigned quota and you will plan sales strategies, develop proposals, deliver customer presentations, and close the business.
Who You'll Work With
One Winning Team Engagement - Effectively facilitating joint initiatives with cross-functional teams (Services, Business Value Acceleration team, Capital, Channel, Cross-Architecture etc.
and strategically engaging cross functional resources to achieve their goals and hit their numbers.
Who You Are
- You have a proven record in managing and winning major opportunities, with the ability to work unsupervised; ability to interact as a valuable team member.
- You can handle a long and complex sales cycle that includes product, services, and software.
- You will need to sell software in an Enterprise Agreement buying model.
- You will have a background in Enterprise accounts and understand how to approach executives and other areas within a client organization to drive understanding and preference to Cisco's Software Defined Networking Solutions.
- You are experienced in multi-level selling, and comfortable influencing CxO, IT Managers, Purchasing, etc.
- You will work with established Cisco Account Managers, Systems Engineers, and Cisco networking partners to build and deliver on a Software-defined networking strategy.
Minimum Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in the Enterprise Networking industry.
- Consistent track record in leading and winning major strategic sales opportunities
Preferred Qualifications :
- You are comfortable working as an overlay resource to field teams, while also directly leading strategic opportunities
- Experience conversing with executives in addition to the traditional conversations with network managers / architects and customer lines of business on enterprise networking solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with cross-architecture peers (Collaboration, Datacenter, Security, and Customer Experience).
