00 - $24.00+ Competitive salary, based on experienceFull Job DescriptionJ&J Auctioneers LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Assistant Office Manager to oversee office administration and assist with bookkeeping tasks.

The ideal candidate will support the company's day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficient management of financial records, client interactions, and auction support.

This role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to travel to various auction sites throughout New Mexico.Who we are : J&J Auctioneers LLC is a full-service auction company that has been serving New Mexico and southern Colorado since 1996.

Specializing in live and online auctions, J&J Auctioneers handles a range of assets including real estate, commercial properties, industrial equipment, and agricultural tools.

With locations in Roy and Albuquerque, NM, the company provides consignment and auction services, catering to the needs of the agricultural sector.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to : -Bookkeeping : -Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  • Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.-Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budget reports.
  • Collect, record, and process buyer invoices and auction payments, ensuring accurate reporting.-Manage expense tracking and reimbursement processing.
  • Office Administration : -Provide administrative support to office staff and management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of filing systems for company documents, inventory tracking records, and consignment information.
  • Prepare contracts for management review and manage auction-related paperwork.-Assist with data entry, report generation, and document preparation using various software programs.
  • Handle client inquiries related to auctions and consigned items, including coordination of item load-out and title work processing.
  • Client Interaction : -Assist consignors with the consignment process, write-up consignment items, and prepare contracts.
  • Provide information to buyers regarding consigned lots, process payments, and coordinate item load-outs.-Communication & Coordination : -Independently answer routine correspondence and draft non-routine correspondence for management review.
  • Collaborate with management to organize office operations and ensure effective communication with auction clients.-Assist with external communications, such as newsletters or publications, as needed.

The ideal candidate should possess : -High School Diploma or GED.-Minimum two years of full-time experience in bookkeeping, office administration, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Word and Excel.-Familiarity with financial record keeping, accounting software, and bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.-Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.-Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.

Physical Demands : -Light physical demands - the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.-Mostly sedentary, with extensive use of computers and multiple screens.
