About the Role

As Quality Lead , you’ll take end-to-end ownership of building and maintaining the systems that ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you’ll partner across engineering, operations, and supply chain to embed quality throughout our manufacturing process.

You will lead Machina’s AS9100D certification journey , establish the framework for continuous improvement, and lay the foundation for a scalable Quality Management System (QMS). This role is ideal for someone who’s ready to step up from senior QE or supplier quality roles into owning a company-wide quality function at a fast-growing startup.

What You’ll Do

• Build, document, and continuously improve Machina’s Quality Management System in alignment with AS9100D and ISO 9001 .
• Prepare and lead internal / external audits; manage findings, corrective actions, and preventive improvements.
• Drive root-cause analysis (RCCA) , CAPA, and FMEA processes to eliminate recurring defects and ensure product reliability.
• Develop and maintain procedures for incoming, in-process, and final inspection.
• Manage supplier quality : conduct audits, establish Approved Supplier Lists, and monitor vendor performance.
• Lead MRB and nonconformance investigations; facilitate timely disposition of material.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as the point person for quality training, awareness, and metrics reporting.
• Support customer and certification audits as Machina scales.
