Responsibilities
- Using Solidworks, concept, design, and build automation equipment.
- Work as part of a team using critical thinking skills to develop new machine platforms.
- Provide mechanical installation support and technical expertise throughout project.
- Work unsupervised in the assembly, set-up, and integration of automation equipment as needed.
- Optimize performance of automated equipment, inspection equipment and robotic work-cells.
- Work with vendors on project requirements and establish equipment specifications.
- Collaborate on training instructions and standard operating procedures for use in equipment implementation.
- Participate in all aspects of safety, costs savings, continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
- Adhere to all Berry Global, industry, and / or regulatory procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year mechanical design experience with strong Solidworks experience.
- Strong project management, organization, and problem solving skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently and with others.
- Ability to work at continuously varying heights for an 8 hour shift and lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
