Job Description Summary
TeamAAM is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Driveline team in Detroit!
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees proper functioning and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and technologies in a plant.
They assess equipment performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement performance improvements. They work with equipment vendors to schedule routine or preventive maintenance;
coordinates across functions. They also monitor warranties, working closely with engineering and suppliers to solve equipment and manufacturing processes.
This individual will also identify recurring problems and recommends corrective measures. The maintenance supervisor will supervise a team of equipment maintenance specialists and their individual and team performance.

Job Description
- Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and workflow to meet departmental goals / operational objectives.
- Monitors performance to standards, budgets, and departmental goals / operational objectives.
- Recommends or implements measures to empower associates and to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Supervises maintenance associates outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and focusing associates;
- communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions;
and adhering to policies and procedures.
Meets maintenance operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, customer service, safety, security, and health standards;
resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
- Oversees tooling section, monitor inventory, coordinate with vendors, participate in cost-saving ideas, and maintain tooling / maintenance costs below budget.
- Works with a cross-functional team to meet cost standards by implementing cost-saving actions.
- Completes shift operations by monitoring maintenance services, reallocating resources, and solving operational problems.
- Documents maintenance services by completing forms, reports, logs, and records, ensuring accuracy of data.
- Evaluates systems and equipment performance by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
- Keeps systems and equipment operating by implementing a preventive maintenance program; and operating and testing systems and equipment.
- Improves systems and equipment performance by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to organization standards, policies, and to legal regulations;
immediately addressing issues, and alerting others regarding potential concerns.
- Prepares maintenance information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Contributes to maintenance and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; and helping others accomplish job results.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of relevant professional experience, or Advanced Degree with 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
