We are seeking a Director of Sales to work at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO.
Job Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the Sales team to meet their departmental goals and to support the overall INSPIRE team to manage live events at the Broadmoor Hotel seamlessly and with an exceptional level of care.
The compensation for this Director of Sales Role is between $85-95,000, depending on experience.
Summary Of Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for INSPIRE Sales team’s growth and performance
- Develop a strong rapport with existing INSPIRE clients and capture new business through partnership with hotel sales team
- Approve sales proposals
- Manage client interactions e.g. support clients directly, assist the Sales Team with proposals, attend site and planning visits
- Manage event technology, as necessary e.g. provide coverage for the Sales Team if they are away
- Protect the best interests of INSPIRE and the hotel e.g. support with event setup, profitability, and provide team support
- Attend preconference meetings with clients
- Mentor the INSPIRE Sales Team with support and accountability
- Maintain excellent sales relationship with the hotel, provide accountability to the hotel including quarterly sales review, capture rate, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Previous leadership experience managing a team
- 3-5 years of event technology sales experience
- Proven record of sales performance growth and revenue totals while in a sales leadership position
- Previous event hospitality sales experience
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to build trust and relationships with clients and internal team and hotel leadership
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends, as business needs dictate
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
Preferred Skills And Specifications
- Director of Sales experience
- Experience working with event technology in the hospitality industry
- Extensive knowledge of event technology operations
