Position Overview :
Our client, a start up, is seeking a proactive and analytical Accounting Manager to take on key responsibilities in our day-to-day accounting operations and drive advancements in our accounting processes through technology.
In this role, you will support the Controller by managing complex accounting tasks, enhancing efficiency, and leveraging data to develop strategic processes.
You will collaborate closely with the sales team, interact with all levels of management, and assist in employee development while possessing a deep understanding of ASC 606.
Key Responsibilities :
Day-to-Day Accounting Operations :
Oversee all daily accounting functions, including general ledger management.
Provide guidance and support to the team on various accounting issues.
Month-End Close :
Execute month-end close activities, including journal preparation, account reconciliations, and running the close process in NetSuite.
Produce accurate and timely financial reports.
Commission Management :
Take significant responsibility for managing and overseeing commission calculations and related processes.
Financial Analysis :
Conduct analytical reviews of financial statement accounts, investigate actuals, and respond to inquiries effectively.
Process Improvement :
Develop and implement procedures to enhance and streamline accounting processes, aiming to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Audit Coordination :
Lead and coordinate annual financial audits under the Controller’s direction.
ASC 606 Compliance :
Prepare detailed analysis and schedules to ensure compliance with ASC 606 accounting standards.
Tax Reporting :
Manage tax reporting and filing.
Ad Hoc Projects :
Support and manage special projects as needed.
