Job Summary
The Institute for Water and Health (IWH) at Georgia Southern University located in Savannah, Georgia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager II to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of various projects.

Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project implementation plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Identify resource needs to support project requirements
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial constraints
- Implement corrective actions and improvements as needed to enhance project outcomes
- Conduct regular evaluations of project performance against established metrics and objectives
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations for project development and / or to disseminate project information and gather feedback
- Collaborate with researchers, communities, and other stakeholders to define project objectives and scope
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring clear communication of expectations
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to project stakeholders
- Liaise with finance and procurement departments for project-specific procurement activities
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or a relevant field
Required Experience
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing research and educational projects in an academic or industry setting
- Experience in organizing stakeholder events and conference
- Experience in managing budgets
Preferred Qualifications

Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)

Master's degree

- Grant writing experience
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project)
Proposed Salary
$56,300 - $70,000
