Position Summary
The Banquet Server will effectively serve food and beverage selections to our guests. Their job duties require style and service attributes that are key to creating a positive guest experience.
Pay Type - Hourly
$20.32
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service in an efficient manner.
- Assist with set-up and break-down of tables, linens, chairs, and all other necessary items for full service banquet events.
- Knowledge of all food and beverage event menus, brand selections, prices and garnishes.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Knowledge of hotel and general local area information.
- Conduct self in a professional manner with the awareness that all actions and communications are within guest view.
- Maintain cleanliness of banquet function and service areas and ensure work area is orderly and properly stocked.
- Complete assigned duties within each shift, including daily cash handling close out procedures.
- Check guest identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure a reasonable effort is made in preventing a guest from being intoxicated.
- Accurately record and enter all food and beverage items into MICROS / POS System when required.
- Maintain appearance and uniform standards.
- Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all co-workers and supervisors.
- Handle all guest service issues in an immediate and professional manner.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors or Managers.
- Follow all policies and procedures put forth by the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous hospitality industry experience preferred
