Job Description
As Alpha Industries Sales Associate you are responsible for supporting sales in the store, merchandise, and a positive customer store / brand experience.
The sales associate is responsible for maintaining store standards and additionally responsible for a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team (i.
e. housekeeping duties, visual presentation standards, etc.). Additionally, responsible for opening and closing of the store including end of day recap when closing.
Hourly pay : $19 per hour
Retail location is in Soho
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create a positive first impression for customers with a welcoming attitude and adhering to dress code
- Engage and connect with customers to create an exemplary shopping experience
- Share product knowledge with customers to maximize sales
- Engage with customers to build strong relationships and brand loyalty
- Show understanding of customer’s personal style when offering fashion advice
- Achieve and exceed sales goals
- Communicate client feedback to Store management to elevate customer experience and sales
- Provides quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner and maintains cash wrap cleanliness
- Assist with daily opening and closing tasks to maintain a clean, and tidy store
- Complete assigned job responsibilities such as floor sets, ringing up customers, etc.
- Remain positive and professional, working together with the team to create an enjoyable environment for customers and co-workers.
- Work with store management to assist with activations that will continue to grow customer base
- Flexible and works well with peers and management to accomplish duties
- Punctual and adheres to designated work schedule
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures with honesty and integrity
- Maintains a professional appearance, in accordance with company dress code.
- Responsible for operating as the floor supervisor on duty in the absence of a manager in the store
- As a floor supervisor on duty, responsible for, but not limited to, completing basic store operations, opening and closing tasks and leading associates in daily tasks

- Physical requirements :
- Available to work store schedule, as needed, including evenings and weekends
- Standing for extended period of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of merchandise
- Comfortable climbing ladders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Knowledge of POS preferred
- 1+ years in fashion retail experience
- 1+ years key holder experience preferred
- Fashion or lifestyle experience (at forward thinking brand) preferred
