About The Position
Job Title : Technician Job Specialty : Surgical Job Duration : 11 months Shift : 0700-1730, Monday to Friday *On call 3-5 weekends per 6 weeks (8 hours), 4-6 weekdays per 6 weeks (2 hours) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : At least one (1) year of strong recent surgical technician experience required, with experience in Neuro (Spine and Brain) or Ortho (Total Joints) License : Not specified Certifications : Basic Cardiac Life Support required Must-Have : High School Diploma or equivalent Job Description : Operate under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgical Team members.
- Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during general surgical procedures.- Ensure understanding of assigned surgical procedure and anticipate the needs of the assigned surgical team.
- Provide service support related to patient preparation, patient transport, and building services.- Assist the surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
- Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
