SummaryUnder general supervision this position performs general office support for the financial aid department which involves routine and similar clerical duties requiring general knowledge of basic office systems and procedures in a high-volume area.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist students and parents through the financial aid process. The incumbent will perform a variety of clerical functions / processes that are designed and directed by technical professional staff.
Limited independent judgment is needed.
This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans’ Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295. Certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.

Minimum Education :
High school education or an equivalent required.
An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
Minimum Experience / Training :
One year office experience preferred.
Essential Functions :
- Daily- 20% : Provides information on the financial aid process to current and prospective students / parents.
- Daily -20% Assists students in completion of the FAFSA application and other FA applications while maintaining confidentiality.
- Daily -20% : Scans submitted documents into the college system.
- Daily -20% : Participates in outreach events to promote FAFSA completion
- Other, as Needed -20% : Performs other related duties as assigned.
