Job Title : Diesel Technician - Trucking / Heavy Equipment

Salary $ : 30-45 per hour

Position Overview :

As a Diesel Technician , you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing diesel engines in various Trucking / Heavy equipment.

Your responsibilities will include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines in trucking / heavy equipment, including tractors, harvesters, and other semi-truck machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and identify mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure accurate assessments and efficient repairs.
  • Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and complete work orders.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and labor hours.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Technician, preferably in an trucking / heavy equipment setting.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Relevant certifications or training in diesel engine repair.
