You will be an Items Analyst supporting a maintenance depot in Los Angeles, CA

What You Will Be Doing

As an Items Analyst you will be responsible for assuring inventory sufficiency with respect to mission requirements throughout the life cycle of supported systems.

Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories, especially under the conditions of performance-based logistics (PBL) and total system performance responsibility (TSPR) contracts.

Makes and executes decisions for operating inventory to include suppliers, repair facilities, 3PLs and customer locations, including priority interpretation, inventory allocation and asset redistribution as necessary among sources of supply and military operating locations.

  • Responds to military service inquiries; supports requests for proposals and provisioning determinations; understands and uses various inventory optimization models;
  • forecasts and manages budget requirements; interfaces with company and DoD information management systems; ensures fidelity of asset identification;
  • resolves technical and support problems for assigned classes of items by actively interfacing engineering and suppliers;

prepares status reports and metrics relating to supplier performance and mission readiness.

Specific roles includes but is not be limited to :

Performs a combination of manual and clerical duties to receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies in a central warehouse.

  • Be able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications and invoices;
  • stores articles according to identifying factors; fills orders or issues supplies from stock; requisitions stock to fill incoming orders;

and prepares stock use reports. Determines methods or places for storage considering guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, floor loading capacity, and required space.

The position is located at a maintenance depot in Los Angeles, CA. The candidate will interface directly with civilian and military customers as well as freight companies.

The candidate will be part of a Joint Venture team consisting of two companies / cultures; therefore, excellent interpersonal skills are a must.

The candidate must possess the necessary computer skills and capacity to learn shop floor and inventory management applications.

The candidate must be adept at using Microsoft Office applications. The candidate must be able to lift 35 lbs. The candidate needs to be willing to travel as required by contract and customer needs.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management
  • Knowledge and / or experience with Procurement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
  • Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government property

Desired Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or within 1 semester of obtaining one, or 3 5 years of relative experience.
  • Knowledge and / or experience in Microsoft applications

Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely : Onsite Full-time : The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position : Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader

Pay Rate :

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $47,800 - $91,500.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

  • Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees : accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons;
  • receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually;

receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate :

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $54,900 - $103,400.
