GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

The Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) is seeking an individual with initiative and critical problem-solving skills to join us as a project manager in the Energy Resources Division.

In this role, the individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Home Energy Rebate Programs.

• Conducts regular engagement with the implementation team, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and stakeholders across Georgia.
• Maintains subject matter expertise in energy efficiency rebate programs and ensure compliance with DOE requirements.
• Manages administrative duties, budgeting, operational and programmatic activities, and contract management.
• Works with the program implementer, external stakeholders, and DOE to ensure success of the Home Energy Rebate Programs.
• Markets rebate program to interested customers, provides technical assistance, and responds to customer needs and concerns.
• Provides technical assistance to subrecipients and contractors.
• Prepares all necessary reports for the program and the division.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Travel is required.

Minimum Qualifications (Position Specific)

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, science, engineering, or related area AND two years of experience in the management of the administrative support activities of a business or government activity.

Experience in managing contractors / vendors.

Note : An equivalent combination of education and / or job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience, and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications (Position Specific)

Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following :

• Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a concentration in environmental studies, public administration, public policy, planning, economics, or business.
• Experience managing federal / state funds.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency programs.
• Rebate program knowledge.
• Two years of experience in energy efficiency program management.
• Three years of experience in project, program, or organizational management.
• Pursuit or attainment of a graduate degree (MBA, MPA, etc.).

SALARY RANGE : Commensurate with experience
