Job Title : Receptionist / Cashier

Reports To : Office Manager

FLSA Status : Hourly / Full-Time with Benefits

Pay : $15.00 per hour

Schedule : Monday through Friday 9 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM Saturday 7 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PM or 12 : 00 PM - 5 : 00 PM (Saturday's are shared and hours are rotated weekly.)

Additional : Previous receptionist experience preferred, but not required.

SUMMARY :

Receives all incoming calls at the dealership, determines the nature of the caller’s business, and directs them to their destination.

Takes messages and provides basic information to all callers. Provides a great first impression to all customers who enter the dealership.

Ensures that sales processes are in place to create a great first impression by cashiering Service and Parts customers. Is a strong, positive first impression of the dealership by presenting a professional appearance and a cordial, businesslike presence.

Has a thorough understanding of the dealership and knows to whom to direct customers. Keeps track of traffic flow within the dealership and where and to whom customers are referred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned :

• Greets all customers entering the facility with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answers their questions, and directs them to the appropriate person or location.
• Directs customers to the correct department, notifies the appropriate person that a customer is waiting, and introduces the customer to a salesperson or service advisor.
• Stays abreast of and helps coordinate all aspects of dealership operation such as : hours of operation, services offered, promotions and special events.
• Answers incoming phone calls. Directs caller to appropriate department or individual or takes a thorough message.
• Communicates with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Communicates messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Correctly cashiers Service and Parts customers with a balanced cash drawer every day.
• Conducts themselves in a manner that represents being a member of the Tom Gill Chevrolet family.

REASONING ABILITY : Must have basic problem-solving reasoning capabilities.

Employee must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time. Employee must be able to speak clearly, hear, and see. Employee must be able to use his / her arms, hands and fingers to work at a computer.

Employee must be able to physically answer multiple telephone calls, understand what is being communicated by the caller, and be capable of transferring calls using the current telephone system.

Employee must be able to write and read.
