Maintenance Technician
Irvine, CA
Schedule : 9 : 00 am - 6 : 00 pm, Monday through Friday
Duration : 18-month contract
Pay Range : $27.00 - $32.00
Job Responsibilities :
In this role, you will perform maintenance tasks across multiple skilled trades to ensure that machinery, equipment, and facility structures remain in optimal condition.
Key responsibilities include :
- Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassembling equipment as needed.
- Conducting routine preventive maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of machinery, efficient building systems, and the upkeep of physical facilities.
- Inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and performing other maintenance tasks based on established checklists.
- Utilizing various tools, including common hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical / electronic testing devices.
- Assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnosing machine malfunctions through inspection, operation, and testing of machinery and equipment.
- Recording maintenance and repair activities, including type of work performed and associated costs.
- Cleaning and lubricating machine parts such as shafts, bearings, and gears.
- Dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
Skills :
- Strong creativity, verbal and written communication, and analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Team-oriented with attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, usage, repair, and maintenance.
- Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for optimizing production and distribution.
- Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Education & Experience :
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in maintenance or a related field.
