Job Summary
Zachry is seeking experienced Oilers and Lubrication Technicians to work on Heavy Construction Equipment on projects in the Raleigh / Durham, NC area.
Zachry provides safe, secure, and productive opportunities for motivated employees. Zachry does not provide a drive-home truck for this position.
Essential Functions
- Be responsible and report to work on time.
- Produce clean and accurate work.
- Produce high-quality and cost-effective work results.
- Go the extra mile to take high-quality and clean oil samples for lab analysis.
- Conduct oil analysis and read results.
- Maintain accurate record keeping of all daily tasks.
- Keep work area and machines clean and free of excessive oil and grease.
- Perform visual inspections on equipment and provide written reports of conditions and deficiencies.
- Service a wide variety of construction equipment, including cranes, pavers, dirt equipment, plant equipment, and other types of machinery.
- Work safely and follow all instructions related to company policies and regulatory agencies during the performance of duties.
- Flexibility to work night shift and weekends as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
- Must possess a Class A or B CDL with X endorsement and Hazmat in order to drive a service truck. Must have a clean driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination and be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
- 2+ years experience in the Heavy Equipment Maintenance industry or an educational degree in Diesel-related technical courses is preferred.
- Have own hand tools (up to 1 1 / 2 wrenches and sockets) and storage necessary to perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment (larger tools supplied by Zachry as necessary).
- Knowledge of oil analysis and ability to read results.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of following directions and effectively working in a team environment.
- Good computer skills are a plus.
- Good mechanical skills are a plus.
