The Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Physician. Provide world class, high quality primary care in an ambulatory clinic in accordance with UHealth policies and standards of practice .

Job Functions : Delivers care appropriate for a primary care clinic with a multicultural adult patient populationEngagement in scholarly activities and institutional service are also essential parts of the position, including clinical research, teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows;

participation in quality improvement and systems compliance initiatives; and Division, Departmental, Medical School and University-wide serviceMaintain outpatient clinical practice at any of our UHealth ambulatory locations9 half-day session s per weekInvolved in clinical / educational activities at Jackson Memorial Hospital including inpatient wards, medical consultation service and the ambulatory resident clinicQualifications : MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residencyValid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible)Valid unrestricted Florida Medic al License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)Kn owledge, Skills, and Abilities : Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniquesMust maintain CME to meet institutional a nd state licensing requirementsMust have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of careCurrent BLS certification required .
