Children's Services Manager | Champaign Public Library

HOURS : Full-time 38 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Oversee programs and collections for children and teens (birth through 12th grade)
  • Foster a welcoming environment for families
  • Promote literacy and educational success
  • Supervise staff; plan engaging programs; build community partnerships
  • Advocate for youth needs
  • Serve on the library’s management team

Qualifications

  • Master of Library Science degree (MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Experience with youth programs
  • Two years of public library experience preferred
  • Extensive experience with automated library catalog and circulation software
  • Knowledge of Spanish and / or French is helpful
  • Equivalent combination of experience and training

    • Salary : $82,774 - $105,685 annually
