Chemical Engineer

Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the toner and photoconductor development engineers and the cartridge development and product engineers to take products from design to manufacturing scale and integrate them into printer cartridges.
- Support announced products, including cost reductions, continuity of supply, product performance, manufacturing quality, and engineering changes throughout the product's life cycle.
- Design, conduct, and analyze engineering trials at lab, pilot, and manufacturing scales.
- Scale-up new products into manufacturing.
- Support photoconductor and toner manufacturing processes.
- Maintain product specifications, engineering BOMs, manufacturing recipes, and process parameters.
Desired skills :
- BS in Chemical Engineering and 2-7 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with design of experiments.
- Work well in a team, as well as individually.
Relevant Skills and Competencies :
- Organize and manage capital projects to achieve schedule, budget, and scope.
- DMAIC, A3, Six Sigma and other systematic root cause determination and problem-solving skills.
- Practitioner of LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Experience with polymers, solutions, dispersions, pigments, acids, and bases.
- Experience with powder processing : milling, classification, blending, conveyance, and storage.
- Experience with extrusion, coating, reactions, flocculation, anodizing and mixing.
Additional :
- Ability to relocate to the Boulder Colorado area.
- Occasional domestic and international travel.
