Midlands Bank, a leader in delivering personalized banking solutions using advanced technologies, is seeking a seasoned Director of Risk and Compliance for our Wealth Management (WM) sector. This role is pivotal in steering the risk framework and ensuring compliance standards are adhered to, enhancing our commitment to excellent customer service and ensuring trust in our banking, insurance, and investment offerings. Develop and oversee the implementation of risk management policies and procedures specific to Wealth Management. Ensure all Wealth Management practices comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Collaborate with senior management to align compliance controls with strategic objectives. Manage the assessment and mitigation of risks related to new products, services, and business practices. Lead internal reviews or audits to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to compliance frameworks. Report regularly to stakeholders about current risks, compliance, and the effectiveness of risk management strategies. Guide and mentor a team of compliance and risk specialists.
