MSIC Network Engineer

Overview

Join our team as a Network Engineer, where you will play a critical role in ensuring high-performance, secure, and reliable network operations. We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in network administration, troubleshooting, and automation. This is an on-site role.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.

Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, access controls, and threat mitigation strategies.

Automate network tasks using Python, Bash scripting, and Ansible.

Optimize network performance and scalability for both on-premises and cloud environments.

Support cross-functional teams with networking needs, including storage, systems, and security teams.

Ensure adherence to industry best practices, company and agency policies, and regulatory requirements.

Create and maintain thorough documentation of plans, system configurations, and operational processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree or higher in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience

Minimum of 2 to 8 years of related experience

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

Must be able to pass the Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph within 180 days of hire.

CompTIA Security+ CE , ISC2 SSCP , or equivalent baseline security certification.

Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility and maintain program accesses as required .

Experience with enterprise network administration.

Proficiency in configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls.

Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing network issues.

Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.

Understanding of security best practices in networking environments.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

U.S. Citizenship Required.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent).

Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Python, Bash scripting).

Knowledge of SD-WAN, network virtualization, and software-defined networking (SDN).

Active TS / / SCI clearance with a current CI Scope Polygraph.
