Hourly Rate : $23.55
JOB OVERVIEW :
Effectively performs duties necessary to provide security for company assets and personnel, support production and business objectives.
Coordinates emergency response and crisis management and verifies access control for all personnel and vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs access control of all personnel and vehicles entering Blue Diamond property, processing employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in accordance with prescribed guidelines.
- Processes and records entry / exit of all trucks, monitoring product shipment and deliveries. Monitors telephones and radio communications, CCTV's, fire alarm and security notifications systems, providing emergency response dispatch and coordination of security personnel.
- Implements checklists, Standard Operating Procedures and Crisis Management Plans, coordinating response of safety, maintenance, and key personnel, to include local emergency response agencies (EMS, PD, and Fire) during emergency situations.
- Drives a marked security patrol vehicle.
- Proactively conducts vehicle and foot patrols of Blue Diamond properties and facilities ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and product, remaining alert for theft, intrusion, unsecure and unsafe conditions.
- Responds to fire, intrusion, and duress alarms, taking appropriate measures to restore situations.
- Performs fire control and preventive inspections, routine security checks, parking enforcement duties and traffic control.
Provides customer service and assistance to employees and company departments as needed.
- Prepares and completes security reports and documentation for routine and emergency incidents. Maintains records, files, and processes single documents.
- Participates in special security events and details. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
- Works overtime as necessary as assigned and directed by Management.
- Maintains individual Guard Card certifications and responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of security officer, military, or law enforcement experience
- Required to possess a valid driver's license and clean DMV printout.
- Must have good communication skills and the ability to interface with drivers, customers, and others that come to Blue Diamond.
- Must be able to interact with all levels of internal and external customers, contractors, and employees, resulting in positive working relationships.
- Basic computer and CCTV skills are required.
- Must be able to read, interpret and articulate company policies and instructions.
- Must be knowledgeable and recognize crisis management alarms and situations (fire, intrusion, machinery malfunction), provide direction and perform follow-up actions.
- Current BSIS Guard Card certification and 32-hour training certificates required.
- Required to wear a security uniform.
- Required to carry and use a two-way radio.
- Required to use a cellular phone and other types of phones.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to work all shifts.
- Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
