Job Summary :
We're looking for an aggressive and disciplined sales professional with a problem-solving consultative sales approach, expertise in specifying products to large end users and experience managing distributors in the industrial and / or PPE markets.
Location :
The territory for this position is Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C. The home office location is flexible, but an ideal candidate's home office would be located in the Baltimore, MD Metropolitan Area.
Job Responsibilities :
- Work with plant safety professionals at large industrial end users to identify safety problems and opportunities to reduce injuries and costs
- Recommend, specify and / or develop appropriate HexArmor solutions
- Assist customer Safety Management and at times with purchasing / procurement to build economic justification based on reduction in injuries and PPE costs
- Assist plant and divisional safety management in the roll out of new PPE policies locally, regionally, and nationally
- Establish relationships and credibility with divisional and corporate level safety officers
- Establish productive relationships and credibility with local, regional, and national distribution management
- Support and develop champions at local, regional, and national safety distribution partners
- Collaborate with inside sales person at HexArmor using a team-based sales approach when needed. Communicate effectively with inside sales counterpart to keep her / him informed of territory activities.
- Communicate product and market needs to Product Development and sales management
- Work with Supply Chain as needed to share information around existing and new business to ensure appropriate inventory levels
- Provide training for distributors’ inside and outside sales personnel in their region
- Able to give impactful local / regional level safety presentations
- Manages a detailed book of business plus actively working a target list
- Meets with end users both at the field level and executive level
- Attend industry specific regional and national safety conferences as required
- Using Salesforce.com CRM to plan and record daily, weekly, monthly activities
- Forecast pending and future business in CRM opportunity management system for inventory planning
- Manage expenses to maintain profitability targets for the region including travel, samples, distributor support
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed by sales management
- Ability to travel 60% or more

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently without daily supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaboratively by phone / email to prospects an customers.
- Process driven and ability to manage customer expectations thru the HexArmor solutions process
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to learn and use CRM SalesForce.com
Education Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree and or 2+ years’ experience in industrial sales work experience preferred
- Proven success managing a multi-state territory
- Experience working for a manufacturer or distributor calling on end users and distributors
- Proven success in industrial accounts a plus
Compensation :
Base plus quarterly commission
