Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift)

We are currently hiring a Warehouse Supervisor to work in our Plymouth, MN location. The schedule for this position is approximately 1 : 00pm to 10 : 00pm (out time can vary), Monday through Friday .

This position is best suited for an individual with extensive communication skills, ability to delegate tasks successfully, and experience being a positive role-model and leader.

WHAT DOES THIS POSITION DO?

Our Warehouse Supervisor position is responsible for leading our 2nd shift (1 : 00pm start) shipping team. This position is extremely hands-on and requires the performance of manual work in addition to directing team members towards daily shipping goals.

Job responsibilities for this role include :

• Delegate warehouse work operations in accordance with shipments, store orders, and stock rotation requirements for second shift operation.
• Provide second shift leadership for warehouse personnel.
• Train and lead work teams to achieve optimal picking performance.
• Involved in the hiring process for new employees and recommend performance goals for existing employees.
• Cultivate a positive, innovative, and safe work environment.
• Responsible for all closing duties.
• Select and count materials in accordance with the shipping slip then stage orders selected.
• Pick Auer truck orders by loading materials into vehicles and / or trucks.
• Place returned items in designated return area.
• Operate truck to pick up transfer items at Berkshire location (a few blocks away), if needed.
• Keep warehouse and outside areas clean and organized (includes sweeping, painting, shoveling, etc.)

WHAT IS REQUIRED?

This position is best suited for an individual with :

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have at least three months of past lead or supervisory experience.
• Must be willing to work a second shift schedule of approximately 1 : 00pm to close.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
