THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE :

The Merchandise System Manager will manage the operation, maintenance, and support of defined business systems. This person will be the subject matter expert seen as the go to functional resource for the business teams to drive efficiencies and appropriately leverage system functionality.

They will determine and document various business requirements; provide / receive information and analysis from various business partners;

and participate and support projects, programs and initiatives that have strategic impact. This role will be responsible for bridging the gap between IT and business using data to assess processes, determine requirements.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capability to work with little or no supervision, providing manager updates in an agreed upon cadence
• Lead or support different areas within MP&O and be responsible for 1 - 3 different systems
• Lead and support up to one or two direct reports
• Mentor and coach business systems team members on the operational and strategic tasks to support MP&I
• Work with business partners to define project requirements, requirement rankings, milestones and sprint plans
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly support ensuring system stability, system readiness and perform weekend implementations
• Analysis current system functionality and propose new functionality to enhance user efficiencies / performance
• Build business uses cases that support the business needs to implement changes and functionality to support the strategic initiatives
• Align with IT on project plan, building in UAT and training milestone, that align project timeline and budget
• Provide thoughtful leadership and partnership to MP&I leadership in determining service levels to accomplish In Stock and Turn goals.
• Research, pilot and deploy advanced system capabilities
• Oversees the formulation and definition of small project / system scope and objectives and development of detailed systems specifications
• Counsels business partners by providing coordination and analytical assistance such as interpretation of requirements; developing detailed requirements; and system definition
• Understand SDLC, SCRUM and GAP Analysis
• Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations
• Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models
• Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS

• Minimum of 8-10 years work experience in a Merchandise system capacity or Proven supervisory experience, preferably 2-3 years supervisory experience
• Extensive experience in multiple and / or large-scale project management, preferably within the context of a retail environment or commensurate business experience
• Working knowledge of Merchandising and Supply Chain Process Best Practices
• Retail business background with strong process and systems acumen with an emphasis in International and Omni-Channel
• Preferred BS or BA University degree and / or robust work experience
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines while using analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, project team and other departments within the organization
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Demonstrated ability to take complex thoughts or ideas and simplify them for business or technical partners
• Retail business background with strong process and systems acumen
• Possesses the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change.
• Applied knowledge of applications development methodologies
