AppleOne has partner with a municipality to assist them in hiring an Accounting Clerk to join their team!

Job Title : Accounting Technician

Length of Assignment : Contract 960 hours 6 months

Schedule : Full time Mon-Thur. 7 : 00am-5 : 30pm or 7 : 30am-6pm (40 hours per week)

Pay Range : $27.84 - $34.77 per hour

Responsibilities

Day to day :

• Cash Receipts, review and reconcile forte reports, check deposits, and cc batches
• Pay utilities when due

Monthly :

• Create cover sheets and excel sheets for wires usually takes about two days
• Review Payroll batches for the month, scan and attach in SB and commit
• Compile all wire payments for the month and process computer checks
• Sheriffs deposit once a month or when Lieutenant brings in the deposit

Additional tasks :

• Petty cash needs to get reconciled and replenished every quarter
• Order finance supplies
• Order new WEX gas cards and issue pins for new employees
• Manage employee users with Amazon and Staples accounts

Qualifications

Ability to commit to the entire contractual hours (960 hours)

HS Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's degree in finance and / or accounting preferred

2-3 years of recent experience in a similar position (Accounting Clerk, Accounting Specialist, AR, AP, internship, etc.)

Advanced user on Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and v lookup knowledge)
