POSITION SUMMARY :

Up to $15,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience

Responsible for operating x-ray, ultrasound, CT scanning equipment and / or mammography to make images of designated portions of the body.

Positions and instructs the patient for imaging exams, adjusts equipment and determines proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each exam.

Ensures all hospital mandated safety precautions are followed. Performs other duties as required.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS : State of California Certification in Radiologic Technology, Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (preferred).

If meeting ultrasound modality requirement, incumbent must be Board Certified or Board eligible with the Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

If meeting mammography modality requirement, incumbent must have State of California Mammographic Radiologic Technology license. Healthcare Provider BLS.

EXPERIENCE : 3-5 Years

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES :

Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.

Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Pay range : $41.00 - $57.06

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience

Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs, rotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology to include OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements, and trauma;

assists practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures and trauma.

Education :

Required : Graduate of accredited Imaging Program

Preferred : Associate degree

Experience :

Preferred : 1-3 years

Certifications :

Required : ARRT or registry eligible; must have ARRT within one year post graduation; AHA BLS, state license if required
