Dupuy Group is currently seeking a General Manager to join our Houston location. The incumbent is responsible for warehousing facilities, trucking, maintenance and overall profitability measured against people management, revenue management, and optimal utilization of assets.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily operations and long-term strategies for Dupuy Houston. Direct oversight of staff to ensure all work is performed efficiently and meets safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with departmental teams to advance and implement long-term reporting processes, operational strategies, as well as monitoring KPIs, budget goals, and improvement plans.
What you will be working on :
Overseeing warehouse and production operations at multiple locations to ensure daily inbound and outbound deliveries are fulfilled.
Improving and implementing operational strategies and procedures to meet business goals as they change.
Evaluating organizational performance and adjusting practices based on quantitative and qualitative information.
Planning, directing, controlling, implementing, evaluating, monitoring, and forecasting budgets and cost of sales in each department to achieve financial objectives.
Managing the staff including hiring, performance, engagement, and development.
Ensuring all facilities and operational practices meet safety and quality standards; collaborating with quality assurance, risk management and safety;
identifying opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
Projecting a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community; leading by example.
Working closely with the Dupuy sales team to maximize business opportunities through Dupuys assets and service offerings.
What we are looking for :
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred or 10 years experience in a leadership role.
Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in warehousing, supply chain, business and finance.
Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Driver's license required; ability to obtain a TWIC card required.
