This position will design and assist to coordinate the development of new products, new product features and new product extensions.
The specific responsibilities, experience, and knowledge requirements are as follows :
Collaborate with design teams and vendors to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality goals.Provide direction and guidance to Designers, Drafters, and Technicians to coordinate their effortGenerate multiple design concepts to solve design problems while working independently or with others as needed.
Transform concepts into CAD models in collaboration with Design Engineers. Must possess the ability to accept direction and work well with all personality types.
Perform stack-up analysis to verify designs ahead of prototypingPresent high-level SolidWorks designs to teams for review.
Must be able to accept and adjust to team direction.Assist Design Engineer to develop part, assembly and top-level drawings and their tolerances.
Create and manage ECOs to implement parts, assemblies, and BOMs during the prototype and production design phasesCoordinate prototype orders with vendors and fabrication staffSupport all build activities including providing direction to line personal and generating solutions for team identified issues and risksAssist to evaluate part discrepancies and disposition their useActively participate in annual goal setting, periodic reviews, one on one meetings, and team meetingsWe value our employees by providing :
