Material Handler
Staffmark is looking for a Material Handler to join our team in Melrose Park, IL. This is a great opportunity to start a rewarding career while maintaining a healthy work-life balance!
Pay : $18 per hour
Schedule : Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday, 4 PM - 12 : 30 AM
Qualifications :
- Minimum 6 months of sit-down forklift experience; 2 years preferred.
- Experience with air freight and breaking down shipments.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; forklift operator's license may be required.
As a Material Handler, you will perform various manual labor tasks, including consolidating freight, picking, counting cargo, and hand-staging goods.
You'll operate a forklift to safely and efficiently move materials within the warehouse, coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products.
Additionally, you will prepare and assemble orders, moving materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other locations, while completing and verifying forms, documents, and labels to ensure inventory accuracy.
