Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for various roles within the NGO.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs, job requirements, and team dynamics to create comprehensive job descriptions and candidate profiles.
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals, to identify potential candidates.
- Conduct thorough candidate screenings and assessments to evaluate their skills, experience, and alignment with the NGO’s values and mission.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews, ensuring a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the recruitment process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires, assisting with paperwork and orientation as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in talent acquisition and incorporate them into the NGO’s recruitment strategies.
- Provide regular reports and insights on recruitment metrics and progress to the management team.
- Willing to work as an unpaid employee.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruiter, preferably in the NGO sector or a related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of talent acquisition strategies, sourcing techniques, and candidate evaluation methods.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and attract top talent for a wide range of positions, from entry-level to senior roles.
- Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles and the ability to promote a diverse workforce.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- High level of professionalism, ethics, and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
- Passion for the NGO sector and a genuine commitment to the organization’s mission.
Preferred :
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with international recruitment.
- Familiarity with talent branding and employer branding strategies.
