Description
Director is accountable for the overall administration and organization of Outpatient Services and Specialty Clinics including the Clinic Registration and Scheduling, Pain Center, & Wound Center (2 East and 2 West)
Plans and directs the clinical and business aspects of all programs offered by the service including financial management, marketing, human resources, productivity, short and long-range planning.
Responsible for the successful integration of the hospital quality, medical quality, and continuous quality improvement programs.
Accountable for customer / patient experience for the outpatient services department. Provides liaison and administrative support for physicians.
Designs services to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Embodies and demonstrates the Community First Medical Center values in the working environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plans, organizes, and directs all outpatient services.
2. Plans, facilitates, and monitors clinical performance standards.
3. Interprets, endorses, and participates in development of hospital and departmental policies.
5. Develops, recommends, monitors and is accountable for Outpatient Services operating and capital budgets.
6. Anticipates and obtains appropriate resource levels based on patient and procedure volume trends.
7. Coordinates outpatient services with other ancillary and community services.
8. Works collaboratively with medical staff, and any relevant hospital service / department.
8. Markets, benchmarks, perform short and long-range planning for outpatient services to achieve objectives.
9. Initiates and / or participates in specific plans and programs for new business development.
10. Maintains knowledge on new technology, changes in reimbursement, for the future of the dept.
11. Understands, articulates and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.

Requirements

Education and / or Experience
- Minimum of five years progressive healthcare leadership experience in the related service area
- MSN or other post-professional Clinical Nurse Masters / PhD / Doctorate level preferred
- EMR / EPIC experience preferred
- Knowledge of the accrediation audit process and JCHAO is helpful
