This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines.

To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

Our MK2 Crew Lander mission will demonstrate the lander's core capabilities - including the privately funded BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and integrated power and propulsion architecture - as a precursor to certifying the vehicle for use by NASA as part of the Artemis lunar exploration program.

The team building this vehicle is rethinking how space systems are designed, with a high-performance architecture, efficient reusability, and rapid design iteration.

S. in Mechanical Engineering or related technical subject areaDemonstrated ability to provide cost and schedule leadership of a team5+ years managing technical teams and / or leading functional groups with responsibility for leading and coaching employees10+ years directly related experienceIn depth understanding of CAD modeling, mechanical and structural engineering principlesTrack record of delivering complex products, on schedule and in budgetExcellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skillsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.
