Position : Pharmaceutical Sourcing Manager
Location : Ridgefield, CT
Duration : 12 months
Pay Rate : $63 / hr on w2 without benefits
Duties :
- Implement Corporate led Category Strategy for fast paced complex, Marketing & Sales categories within the local US organization.
- Bring potential innovation to Boehringer and local market intelligence.
- Identify, evaluate, and classify sourcing risks and devise risk mitigation measures; manage risk exposure. Identify and evaluate existing and potential local suppliers as well as the establishment and maintenance of supplier relations.
- Use Business Review Meeting and KPI leverage to resolve potential issues at an early stage.
- Manage local Business Partners actively and collaborate to align common goals.
- Coordinate Business Partner demands within Sourcing and ensure that relevant information is shared, and Business Partner is supported adequately.
Optimize buying channels and leverage market opportunities.
- Leverage sourcing tools (including e-sourcing or reverse-auction, parallel negotiation, etc.)
- Negotiate, review, and execute contracts; maximize usage of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or Frame Services Agreements (FSAs) as possible.
Oversee the Supplier performance management program for assigned categories.
- Incorporate supplier diversity in assigned categories.
- Potentially lead and drive regional sourcing projects.
- Coach on sourcing policies and procedures.
Skills :
- Ten (10+) years of Sourcing experience, Knowledge in Pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the following : demand management; market and supply analysis; negotiation; total cost of ownership, saving, and NPV;
project management; delivering against commitments.
- Experience with Sourcing for Marketing & Sales, Creative Services, Data Analytic Services, Market Access and / or PR. Knowledge of evidence generation, AI and machine learning.
- Experience / background in the following : contract management, supplier relationship management, market assessments (RFI / RFP), negotiation, risk evaluation.
and change management.
- Compliance mindset Excellent written and oral communication skills with a customer centric mindset.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timeline.
- Strong project management skills, ability to influence and bring teams to consensus and agreements.
Education :
- Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Institution plus related experience.
- Areas may include Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical, Business Administration or related.
