Job Title : School Occupational Therapist

Description : Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking for a fulfilling opportunity in the education sector? We have a VERY part-time position available in Silver City, NM, starting in August and running until May.
This role offers flexibility, with approximately 8 hours per week, allowing you to choose a schedule that fits your needs within the time range of 8 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM.
Whether you prefer one full day or two half days, we are committed to finding a schedule that works best for everyone involved.
Responsibilities :
- Work with a caseload of about 10 students, primarily grades 6-12 at A-C level.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' occupational therapy needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to create a holistic approach to student development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
Qualifications :
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of NM.
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in a special education setting, is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of each student.
Start Date : August (likely the week of the 12th)
End Date : May (around the 23rd)
