Job Title : Programmer Analyst (Mainframe)
Location : Wethersfield, CT 06161 (Hybrid)
Duration : 1 Year Contract
Responsibilities :
Upcoming initiative includes the replat formeing of the mainframe-based licensing system. The candidate must be proficient with mainframe platform skills including CICS, batch analysis, and SOAP web services.
With the licensing system moving to to a new platform, necessary skills development, and web services. Advanced skills developing Restful web services is a primary consideration for this engagement
The project that we are gearing up for is the refactoring of a mainframe application to a modern underlying infrastructure.
The candidate will be expected to assist with the transition of the legacy mainframe application from CICS, COBOL, VSam to a .
NET framework, C#, SQL environment.
The ideal candidate :
- Will be proficient in .NET, C#, and SQL
- Must have a strong understanding of CICS, COBOL, VSam to support the legacy system transition
- Will additionally have strong skills for developing RESTful API's to support data exchange between various systems
