About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $2010 To $2233 Job Title : Radiology Technologist Job Specialty : Radiology Job Duration : 12 months Shift : Monday-Thursday, 8 PM - 6 AM (4x10 Hr) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Not specified License : Required - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standard Association (SCRQSA) Radiographer Certification Certifications : - ARRT Radiography (R) Certification - BLS through the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to perform and teach radiologic exams - Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations - Proficiency in the safe operation of radiologic equipment - Ability to operate standard office equipment Job Description : Perform imaging procedures following established protocol under the supervision of certified radiologists.
- Assist radiologists with procedures and supervise student Radiologic Technologists.- Ensure patient care and safety during imaging procedures, utilizing appropriate age care.
- Obtain correct written orders for procedures and manage time efficiently to meet patient care assignments and work expectations.
- Efficiently utilize imaging equipment, minimizing repeat examinations and emphasizing cost containment.- Instruct and prepare patients about imaging procedures, assist in obtaining informed consent, and ensure patient understanding of procedures.
- Communicate with family members about discharge instructions and respond sensitively to customer needs.- Ensure correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system and communicate effectively with radiologists.
- Adhere to hospital, departmental, and safety policies, practicing good radiation protection and following guidelines from governing organizations.
- Complete annual mandatory in-services, maintain current licensure requirements, and support departmental goals.- Maintain confidentiality of medical and sensitive information and promote the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as required.
