Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Hahn Lab

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our scientific research team in the Department of Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI).

The Hahn Laboratory studies mechanisms of cancer initiation and progression as well as the development of novel therapeutic targets.

We use genome-scale systematic approaches to discover cancer-specific genetic vulnerabilities and decipher molecular pathways underlying cellular transformation and therapeutic resistance.

Responsibilities :

• Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others, and independent thought.
• Design, conduct, and troubleshoot hypothesis-testing experiments.
• Design, conduct, and validate high-throughput, hypothesis-generating screens.
• Mentoring of research technicians and undergraduate students.
• Maintain detailed and understandable lab notebooks and records.
• Interpret, discuss, and present research findings with lab members and the principal investigator.
• Use computational approaches to analyze complex data sets, including next-generation sequencing data sets, and / or effectively collaborate with computational biologists.
• Develop figures to depict research findings, write research and review papers, and present at scientific meetings.

Minimum Requirements :

• PhD or MD / PhD with concentration in molecular biology, cellular biology, cancer biology, computational cancer genomics, or related discipline.
• Mammalian cell line and organoid culturing techniques.
• Proficiency in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
• Self-motivation, collaborative spirit, and ability to work in a group setting.
• Able to write scientific reports and present scientific findings.
