Position description

Division of Oculoplastic Surgery at the Department of Ophthalmology, UCSF - Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking applicants to fill a full-time faculty position for the Oculoplastic Surgery service at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

Rank and salary commensurate with experience.

The candidate will provide clinical services in Oculoplastic surgery, conduct basic, translational, or clinical research, and develop or advance a clinically-relevant research program.

In addition, the candidate will provide clinical services at one or more of our multiple Bay Area clinical sites, and participate in medical student, resident, and fellow education.

Requirements :

Qualified candidates must hold an MD or equivalent degree and have a CA medical license or be eligible for full, unrestricted licensure by the time of hire.

Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology (ABO) and have completed fellowship training in Oculoplastic Surgery and be a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), or be eligible to join ASOPRS, at the time of appointment.

Demonstrated teaching competency as well as demonstrated success in clinical or laboratory research are essential. Candidates must have a distinguished record of excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research.

It is expected that successful programs will be advanced by the candidate in all these three areas. Applicant's materials must list current and / or pending qualifications upon submission.

pdf ) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $106,900 - $327,800.
