Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in the Philadelphia, PA area.
The SLP will work with students of various ages and abilities, providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), progress monitoring, and goal setting to support student success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Evaluate students based on PTEs (Pennsylvania Training and Evaluation Survey) and PTREs (Pennsylvania Training and Retention Evaluation).
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Write and manage IEPs, including the creation of specific, measurable goals tailored to each students needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals.
- Complete progress monitoring and regularly review and update students' progress towards their goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and students' progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations to support student development.
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and maintain all necessary certifications and licensures.
Additional Certifications / Skillsets Needed :
- Proficiency in evaluating students based on PTEs and PTREs.
- Experience in progress monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong ability to write IEPs and create effective, individualized goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Pennsylvania State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
