Assistant Controller in Boston, MA
Join aprominent real estate investment firm as an Assistant Controller, where you'llplay a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operationalmatters for assigned portfolios.

Responsibilities :
- Oversee property and / or debt investment accounting staff, reviewingreconciliations and financial statements.
- Lead monthly closing and consolidation process for assignedportfolios.
- Analyze budget-to-actual results for discussion with seniorexecutives.
- Prepare and review quarterly financial statements and investorreports.
- Ensure compliance with partnership agreements and investor sideletters.
- Manage investment management and incentive fee calculations.
- Prepare joint venture waterfall calculations and capital accounts.
- Calculate distributions to partners and manage debt covenantcompliance.
- Oversee external audit process and manage third-party relationships.
- Develop and manage Performance Reporting Accounting staff.
- Enhance internal controls surrounding financial reporting disclosure.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting concentrationpreferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate or private equityindustry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and manage variableworkloads.
- CPA license and public accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to technologychanges.
